There are several ways in which Lubbock Area United Way is creating avenues for community members to be an advocate.
First, we are currently building our public policy committee. This group of volunteers consists of community members representing a variety of fields. Their goal is to educate lawmakers about educational issues.
Second, through the Speakers’ Bureau, you can share your United Way story with others.
Finally, through our blog, Speak United, community members give a personal perspective on what Lubbock Area United Way and its work means to them. They also discuss issues that the Lubbock Area United Way works to address in our community.
